Anyway, I have a Pentium III like that; 450MHz or something (and it actually has no fan).

There were actually quite a few from what I can tell, but P2 was the most well know, numbers sold etc... I think most people never realized or thought about the kind of heat cpu's produce before the P2. I remember adding a fan to the heat sink on my 386 build...

This all got me thinking about some of my old stuff, so I dug it out a snapped a couple pics.

This was my pride n joy. It's a 2gb SCSI Hard drive from the early 90's. It retailed for $1600 dollars. I bought 2 of them at a damaged freight auction for around $900. Sold 1 to a client for $1200... cha ching... Although if I'd been smart, I'd have sold both. I knew that then, but I just couldn't. And all of you here know what I mean...

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY knew anyone who had 2gb in their PC at home back then...

450
450

The old Tandys...
450

Here's the P2...
450

and of course the P3 in all it's filth...
450

The rest still have their full metal cases on so weren't worth a pic. Along with several racks of cards, miscellaneous parts and software. I actually burned all of my 3.5 and 5.25 disk to CD's several years ago. I do still use a picture program call Picture Publisher from 1993, but the rest.... oh well

Edit: I keep changing the 500 HD from meg to GB.. I can't remember..lol

Edit2: It was 2gb.. Looked it up. Wow.. that was a lot....lol

I think I had to partion it into 500meg sections (or at least the C drive) because DOS wouldn't recognize anything bigger..

I always used to play X-Wing vs TIE Fighter on that computer and then X-Wing Alliance. Now I feel bad we sold it.

I think I found it: http://bf3blog.com/2011/11/battlefield-3-lead-platform-was-on-consoles-after-all/

It's called the Sony Vaio PCV-100 and it features an Intel Pentium (not II) with MMX at 166MHz, probably 64MB of SDRAM, a ISA 2.5GB HDD, ATi Rage II 3D graphics card with 2MB of EDO and a copy of Windows 95. Not bad for the time, I guess...

That link is on BF3?? What'd I miss?

I remember that on display at a Compusa. They were beautiful, but way over priced....

I do not remember the exact model, but it was a Compaq with a 700mhz AMD CPU with 256MB of RAM.

It played Disney Rollercoaster Deluxe thumb.gif

Had a Commodore 64 (C64G I think) with a Datasette, I was so jealous of the guy over the road who had a floppy disk drive. Think it's still around my Mum's place somewhere.
