Help with setting up Bios with X2 3800+ Please

I have it up and running just fine, but I have been doing alot of reading trying to fgure out how to tune my system. I am still quite unsure as to how and change the settings for dual channel and maybe alil overclock on the cpu. and info or links to good forums would be greatly appriceated

Hi and welcome,

To get your machine running in dual channel mode, you will need to have matching sets of ram sticks. That is to say 2 512MB or 2 1GB dimms of the same speed and type.

You could try the 2 x 512 sticks in the appropriate slots (refer to your Mobo documentation) to see if it will go into dual channel.

Overclocking the processor should be your secondary goal at this point.

for now concentrate on your ram as far as getting it running in dual channel mode.

Yes getting your ram sorted is the foremost important thing as RAM is what gives you the headroom to overclock with

I am running 3 mem modules and i just found out that my motherboard only supports either all dual channel or no dual channel, or is it lying to me? thanks
