Problem overclocking cpu

Thread Starter
am trying to up my FSB. When i do even by a small amount 3-5 the system locks up. This is what i did.

I hit delete and go into the abit Softmenu.

Then I select user modified setting for the FSB.

Then I upped it by 3. Then save the setting and the comp trys to restart and locks up at the P4 logo. Hitting delete does allow me to go back into the bios though.

Then I selected the standard preset FSB and it restarts fine.

That seems a small amount to already lock up doesnt it?

Can anybody help?
