I'm planning to Vmod this card just as a little way to practice, first off I want to know what I need to hard-vmod this card. I have good soldering skills, a bunch of wire, and a DMM that I just ordered (not just for vmodding, I do other things). I only thought of this because I bought a DMM and figured I have the equipment, why not? Anything else I need? I see other vmods have trimmers on them, capacitors, and whatever else I may need

I'll bring up a high-res picture in a minute.

I was reading that the vmod might be similar to a 4850 since they have the same voltage chip. no promises but figured I'd chime in

I probably will. My DMM just got here in the mail! UPS should be sending my cooler later this afternoon! The only problem is I have no idea what parts I need and where to solder wires and etc. I have no experience with volt modding, anyone had ideas for vmodding this card? The IC circled by PizzaMan above has uP6161S14 on it. I wouldn't know what to do with a datasheet even if I had one. The most complex thing I've ever done was play with a shift register and an arduino

I can start measuring resistances if it will help anyone help me

Measure from FB to ground which you can use your VGA bracket and find its resistance to verify which size VR is needed. No power to the card and take it out of the machine to measure resistance.

Running great. Waiting for a CPU cooler than I can start overclocking but the NB gets insanely hot but that's nothing a fan can't take care of . Thank god for the onboard power/reset buttons, I'm using a chassis with no buttons
