New PC won't boot, suggestions?

Just got all my new EQ, but something aint agreeing with something.. I am spewing, you will see why-

P4 3.0e Socket 775 (next to be upgraded)
ASUS P5ND2-SLI Deluxe
2x512 XMS 2 Pro Series DDR2/PC5400 RAM
Sapphire ATI Radeon x1900XT

which is all I'm really trying to get going right now, can't get a picture

monitor is analogue, card only takes DVI but I've obviously got the converter on, I doubt this would be an issue, have tried both ports in the back of the x1900.

dont get beeps, stll playing around with fan connector/ pins, but ive matched it upto the manual and nothing

the RAM does what it's supposed to (I believe), goes to full red on the lights briefly, then calms down to normal. <-- Can anyone tell me if this means I may have reached a certain stage of the boot process?

I am *thinking* I may need to flash my bios with a lower end pci-e card ? is the card perhaps too new for this mobo ?

I highly doubt CPU, as I took it straight off my old mobo and straight onto my new one, etc..no issues there, the 775's are very hard to break/bend, even if you tried

SO at this stage I am suspecting the x1900 XT, and am going to post if anyone has had similar experiences with their mobo's..

Any suggestions would be great guys, I'm fairly good with PC's I just dont have any spares to test with anyone it's all incompatible with old systems, I may take it down to the shop I got the card from tomorrow if I am still having no luck and see if we can test some different parts to perhaps eliminate the motherboard

About to pull it all out and start over ,sigh.. I was looking so forward to getting my chip stable @ 4.0+ tonight too, and i havent got my watercooled case yet

edit: I'm also investigating whether it may be the CPU, it doesnt support all socket 775's however one would think the older ones would work moreso than the brand new ones.

only put the basics in that are needed to run and see if it boots, miss things like gfx cards (if it has onboard) and any pci card etc...

sorry to worry you guys

i didnt connect the power into the pci-e card, i didnt know you had to

anyway all good.. only running one stick of ram, didnt boot with two, but then again, it took until i only booted with one stick of ram before it told me about the power to the video card,

it's so sweet

omg

the tai chi is coming next week to sit it all in, i finally feel like im up with technology again..except for my chip

the x1900xt is so funky looking, shame I'll rip the heatsink str8 off it and put the vga waterblock on, oh well.

This mobo seems unreal, so fast, I have overl****ed to 3.95 easily without even touching anything, just whacked the fsb on 1000 .. so I am kinda excited to see what watercooling will do,

hopefully that will keep me entertained until the dual core chip

i'll edit the title

thanks anyway for all your help.. i have yet to see it render a 3d image, but very soon (ati installer going now, lol..)
