DS Game Line Up Announced

I found a line up for the DS over on IGN of games that are going to be coming out in Japan and hopefully to the US and thought there might be some people who would be interested. I am presonally looking forward to games like Children of Mana. I have never played Xenosaga, but I heard it was good, so it looks like there are going to be some good RPGs working their way down the pipes. On a side note, Tales of Phantasia is going to be coming out for the GBA so I am looking forward to that.

That new 2D Super Mario Bros. may be the game that finally makes me think I "need" a DS.

Although that new Age of Empires 2 that they just released looks pretty darn interesting, I must say. It's not RTS like the PC version, it's turn based and is supposed to be like Advance Wars. Which I never played, but every review of Advance Wars extolled it as an uber-fantastic strategy game. AoE2 DS got a pretty good score on GameSpot, too...

I bought the GBA version of Advance Wars. At first I thought it was really cool, but after a while it feels very rock, paper, scissors-ish... tanks beat infantry, planes beat tanks, and so on. For small maps you can run really clever strategies which was cool, but on the bigger maps, it becomes so methodical and boring.

<***SLIGHT SPOILER WARNING***>

I got to the last map and you had to beat a guy who had an army of roughly +20 planes, +10 tanks, and tons of cities (which give him lots of money to buy more), plus he has a special attack that wipes half of you units off the map. AND, you have to micromanage 3 seperate armies battlions. It took me a while just to grab a few cities... it wasn't a battle of strategy, it was a battle of attrition. Needless to say, I never beat it.

Sounds like a game I should play, actually. I love that stuff.
