Well I was right about the mount. I have pics I will toss up later. It caused the TIM to not fully spread (and I could have used a nudge more). It has been corrected now.
The mount is very good. Not a drop of moisture to be found. Socket as well.
Seems I lost a stick of the Dominator GT's. It was acting up before all this and I have the RMA in my email. I threw the spare Gskill Tridents in there and all 6 gigs work fine now. The OS however is hosed at this point lol no biggie SSD takes <8 mins to re image.
The only differences I can state about the Hebei TEC's and the TC's are the gauge of the wires, the rated amps 16 for the Hebei and 17 for the TC's, and the max temps 225c for the Hebei and 125 for the TC's. As far as behaviorally I can add this as I don't have an ammeter that goes past 10v atm. I could run the Hebei TEC's at 27 volts and another overclocked rig on the same circuit (signature rig) At 26 volts the TC's trip the 20amp breaker when I hit the power button on the Classified. So two different circuts or you'll need a larger than 20 amp breaker. Fortunately my office is 30 amps.
I haven't had a chance to run them on a single Meanwell at around 22 or 23 volts yet. I want to try and see if it can be done. Technically it is possible but may require voltage of around 20v and I don't know what the performance hit will be.
At any rate my wife's grandfather has passed away and I need to attend to that so probably nothing more from me until the weekend. I plan to try and get the chiller made up with the other 2 TEC's and see what that produces. So the external rad assembly cooling the chiller hot plate and 2 danger den pumps in series feeding the cold plate loop no rads.Edited by Elloquin - 5/31/10 at 12:13pm
