Per this thread it looks good. Wish I had the money for a x6...will wait for hopefully price drops after Bulldozer comes out.

I recently bought this board and installed Gskill DDR3 PC12800 Ripjaws memory.
I keep getting BSoD telling me that something's wrong with the memory. The system recognized the memory speed as 1333Mhz because that's the default BIOS settings. I took the rig to the computer shop and tried different sets of RAMs and whenever I tried any brand with PC12800, it froze and BSoD. But when I'm running PC10600 RAMs, the system is stable. Anyone else having this issue?

BTW I have the Rev 2.1 board.

I didn't. I used to run my GSkill RAM fine on 1600MHz CL7 1.9V. I had a REV 1.0 or 1.1.

at first i was using this ram
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231277
and i keep getting BSoD. I even tried to OC the RAM to 1600mhz but still no luck..
At last i swapped the RAM to
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231190
and now it's working nicely..
Do i get a defect board that can't use PC12800 RAM?
should i RMA the board?
and i read that AM3 memory controller uses the 1333mhz as the default clock so getting the clock to 1600mhz which is the RAM's stock clock is considered overclocking?
Anyways thanks for the input

This is correct... So you may have not needed to replace your old ram.

I see.
May I ask currently what clock are you running your ripjaws?
And my board keep getting BSoD when I'm using PC12800 RAMs should I RMA it?

You should do some more reading... I'm running my ripjaws @1333mhz. You don't see a real world benefit to having it OC'd... I think its more of bragging rights moreso than performance gain.

ok then I will read some more..
If the difference is not too significant, then I will stick to my current RAM without having to RMA my board..
Anyway thanks for the advice
