What temps have you been getting? Because from what i heard those cards can handle pretty high temps.

will there be any huge performance increse by replacing a GeFX 5800nu 128mb -> to R9800pro 256mb ??

They are great cards. I have one on my second computer and it performs okay. I have had it for 3 years now and it has been through countless overclocks, and it still works. It is a little better than a 5800, specially in directx applications. Keep in mind that it is a rather old card. A 6600gt is much better in my opinion.

1. How about R980pro 256mb Vs. GeF6600LE 256mb (this is LE-4pixelpipes) ??
which is better?

2. Does nVdia perform better in EA NFS games??

I have the 128MB version of the Radeon 9800PRO and it rocks. I have it clocked to 432/375 with the Zalman VF700 cooler. Sure it's no GeForce 6800 or 7800, but it can run all the games I play prety well.

Can't the 9800 Pro be modded to a 9800XT? I'm not sure, but if it is possible that would be one nice performance increase.

Edit: Here's the thread. http://www.overclock.net/ati/183-how...00-np-pro.html havent read through it or anything so I cant tell you if it works or not.

The Pro version can be modded, but it isn't a great improvement because the Pro already has all 8 pixel pipelines opened. If you get a non-pro, then it is a greater improvement.

Yea like RyGuy1788 said, I also have a 9800 Pro 256MB and did the flash to XT and notices that you can hit that number under pro easy and a bit more. So for that I just return the card back to Pro because it is still good like that.
