I said it could be turned on in the Advanced Settings, and if they're following my guide (they'd better be), then they'll enable it straight away.

So, a question here on flags...
I finished an SMP unit and had it pause after completion. Unfortunatly it was unable to send.

Is there a way to use the [-send all] flag to send out the unit without getting a new unit? (I cant SMP fold for a few days)

I don't think there is...

But if you start with the -send all flag, it should try uploading the WU before downloading a new one. Keep an eye on it, and once the WU is uploaded (or if it fails), quickly close the client.

Ok, perhaps some helpful info on the [-send all] flag:

Using the flag made my client send the work and then it shut itself down automatically.
I ran it again, it tried to send a unit, no unit to send, and it shut off again.

So putting that flag first seems to make it send and shut off no matter what follows.

There is another way of adding the flags.

You edit the client.cfg and look for
Code:
extra_parms=
and just add them in there.

This applies to both Mac/PC/(maybe linux)

Problem with editting the client.cfg file is when people in Windows open it with Notepad. There are no breaks between lines, so the different entries can get messed up (like the line "team=37726" can get added to the end of the username field, resulting in a messed up username).

More advanced users would have tried editting client.cfg themselves, and will learn from the mistakes they make. But it's not something I'm going to advise right off the bat (remember, this guide is for people very new to Folding).
