Here's a casual shot when I was changing cases into a new (and nicely cheap at $30 shipped) Three Hundred
It got pretty messy afterwards, though frown.gif. Idles ~90w.

I use it mostly for downloading torrents but it also serves as a print and fileserver.

OS: Windows XP but I'm going to install Windows Server 2003 32bit soon
Case: Some Medion crap case
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 550 (1 core 2 threads @ 3.40GHz)
Motherboard: Microstar MS-7091
Memory: 4 dimms of 512MB DDR memory (2GB total @ 200MHz)
PSU: Stock Medion crap PSU
OS HDD (If you have one): Western Digital Raptor 36GB (10.000rpm)
Storage HDD(s): External WD drives
Server Manufacturer (Ex: Dell, HP, You?): It started out as a Medion PC but hardly anything is left of it except for case, psu and motherboard

PIC's (click for high res)

this is from before I added memory but the rest is the same

Very nice Nice man, how much was the rack?

Most of my stuff is in towers, I'd love to get it into some 2U's

OS: Ubuntu 12.04 LST + XBMC + WEBMIN +
Case: Custom
CPU:AMD Athlon X2 4450e Brisbane 2.3GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 45W Dual-Core
Motherboard: ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP ATX AMD
Memory: 2 GB (512MBx4)
PSU: 850 Watt -Yes very much over kill, but it is more energy efficient then the 450 watt i was using, and since I plan on adding 1 hard drive a month it will do.
OS HDD (If you have one): 1 TB, for OS and BT downloads
Storage HDD(s): 2.0TBx8 + 1.5TBx4 20.74TB usable, going to add another 1.5TB soon
Server Manufacturer (Ex: Dell, HP, You?): ME

Speeds:
2TBx8 (onboard Sata + PCIE) Write 98 MBps, Read 96 MBps (Streaming Media)
1.5TBx4 (3Ware 9500s 12 port PCI-X in PCI slot) Write 70 MBps, Read 74-78 MBps (Backups)

SATA Ports
6 -3.0 GBps -OnBoard MCP55 (1TB OS)(2TBx5)
2 -3.0 GBps -PCI-E JBM362 (2TBx2)
2 -3.0 GBps -PCI-E Sil 3132 (2TBx1)(16.0TB LVM2)
12-1.5 GBps -PCI-X in PCI slot 3ware 9500s (1.5TBx4)(6.0TB LVM2)

The setup shown here is my old one, it used drives in the following config
1x750GB OS+BitTorrent drive
4x1.5TB Media drive (LVM2)
7x1TB Backup drive in Raid 6

Yes it's in a Speaker Box, as it is meant for a HTPC, with XBMC running most of the time as a front end, I control Transmission though the web client or remote client, has a RF adapter at the top for a remote, and due to the slow 120 mm fans it is quite and cool.

Power Usage, i measured power usage at a few different levels
-240 Watts, Start Up. first 60 or so seconds
-85 Watts, idle, all drives except OS drive spun down, downloading torrents
-125 Watts, all Drives spun up, backing up main computer to system
-139 Watts, all Drives spun up, XBMC playing 1080p Movie

Drive Temps -32-38*C, depends on day/summer/winter,
CPU Temps -38-40*C, uses a SilentFlux Bubble cooler, which is silent, and sort of like a all in one water cooling system, without the need for a pump. its silent which is what i like,

the whole rig (-drives cost) back in late 2010 $316 that covers CPU, Ram, Case Build, Raid Cads, PSU, MB, Fans, and Cables,

now for the Pictures.

This case has been damaged, dropped on a corner and cracked, and is no longer in use, so RIP, I will have some pics of my new rig soon
-The Flash did white out the black screen, show the air filter that I installed to remove the dust.
