OS: Windows 7 Professional 32bit (too lazy to run a true server OS)
Case: Norco RPC-470
CPU: Intel E2200 2.4Ghz Core2Duo
Motherboard: Asus P5LD2
Cooling: 2x120mm fans, 6x80mm fans
Memory: 4x512MB Kingston DDR2 667Mhz
PSU:Antec Earthwatts 500
OS HDD: 80GB Seagate Barracuda
Storage HDD(s): 2x250GB Seagate Barracudas, 1x320GB Seagate, 1x160GB Seagate, 2x1.5TB Seagates, 2x2TB Samsung F3's
Server Manufacturer: Me

Server is used for File/Print Server. I use Media Center Master for media meta data.

Once we get moved into a house this next year it'll be racked up in a closet with other gear as well, but for now it sits on a bookcase lol

OS: Windows Home Server 2008 (probably going to switch this to Windows 7 mainly due to the fact Team Viewer sees it as a corporate license and is now preventing me from using their free home user version)

VNC is pretty slow and RDP screws up GPU folding. Both require some setting up to use them securely from outside your home LAN also.

The free version of LogMeIn runs fine with Server OSes though and can be used from anywhere with little in the way of setting up - it's what I use, and it's pretty useful.

VNC is fine if you're doing little things.
But then again, that's just my opinion since I've only used VNC in Linux and not Windows.

I've never had an issue with VNC being slow.

I'll post some updated pictures once I get the rest of my drives in!

vnc is great. It only really gets "slow" when you're vnc'ing from a vnc.

just be glad you don't have to use pcanywhere. NT 3.51 can't use vnc and the only remote software I can use is rcmd and pcanywhere.
