I use the motherboard's box or the backing cardboard they put inside calendars (EATX sized) for my naked builds.

Here's my latest server I got for MS VMs. I'm running Hyper-V on Server 2008R2. It's a Fujitsu RX200 S5 with dual E5530, 48GB ram, 4 300GB 10k disks and a Brocade 1860 dual port 10GBE/16GB FC adapter.

Mobo - Biostar A870u3
CPU - Athlon x2 240
PSU - Antec Neo 520w
RAM - 2x2gb G.Skill ddr3 1600
HDD - 15tb (manufacturer size not real)
Tuners - 4x kworld 435 tv tuners (MediaPortal TV-Server)
Sata cards - 2x cheap 2 port sata cards

There is a 24 port gigabit dlink green switch, some cheap linksys router, a couple UPS, 360, ps3, htpc, onkyo receiver and server. One day I will actually tidy it up a bit.

No just a simple switch/shelf setup for now since I got it to learn FC. I got it really inexpensively compared to 4GB PCI-E HBAs because it was mislabeled.
