God no! it's in my bedroom and I need complete darkness to sleep. I think I've removed every LED fan from every case i've ever owned. LED = Rice anyways. They would be kind of right though. We don't need to have these servers running 24/7. In fact most of the time most of these servers are sat idle. However we prefer to have them on 24/7 as it makes our lives easier (scheduling / automated routines, not having to turn the server on / shut it down, etc). We in a (largely) peaceful developed world and thus have the luxury to afford such things and we should remember that they are just luxuries. We shouldn't take these things for granted as the majority of the worlds population cannot afford personal computers nor broadband internet let alone home servers.
