Thanks for all who have posted their systems and given me crazy ideas thumb.gif

Looks awesome! Nice job! thumb.gif

what is it going to be used for?

I run a gaming community and rent a few servers out to some friends. Mostly Source (TF2, CSS, etc.) server hosting as well as Minecraft.

I decided not to go with a RAID array because to me it wasn't worth the extra few hundred bucks for a proper RAID card and additional drives. I'm sending an additional drive to the data center so they have one on hand in case of a failure. I can afford a few hours of downtime, so the extra cost to reduce the downtime (by buying a RAID card + drives) isn't really worth it to me.

I thought I heard in another thread you decided on Chicago, what datacenter did you plan on?

I dont have any pictures but my specs...for my system at home.

Case-Antec 900
MB-Gigabyte GA MA790X
CPU-AMD Phenom 9950
RAM-8GB G Skill
PSU-Corsair 650w
OS HDD-WD320gb w/ESXi (Datastore)
Storage HDD-Various WD 1tb-3tb (total usable is 5 tb with the 3 tb as Parity)
I have a 1300va UPS and it will last about 30 mins.

I originally built the system with a GTX GPU for gaming, back in 2008. I realized earlier this year I just use it to browse the internet and my system was a bit over kill. So I decided to virtualize, I installed ESXi, and my virtual machines are:

Ubuntu for my file processing
WinXP for mySQL DB
UnRAID for my file server

I use the file server mainly for storage of movies and tv shows being shared to my multiple XBMC devices through out the house.

As far as what I play with at work...is a bit too much to say, I will just tease with the Data room cost ~180M
