Red Tiger RAM Mod

Thread Starter
Ok so i just got in my Crosshair IV Formula with its red and black theme. I have G Skill RipJaws and i'm going to to a Red+ Black tiger camo mod to them to go with the motherboard. I took the stickers off and painted them red so far. Sorry for the crappy pic. I'll upload better ones tomorrow.

You should have taken the heatsinks off of the ram. There's always that slim chance that you could get paint on the PCB and then your done.

You used heat resistant paint right?

I taped off all the edges and went lightly on the tops. I've done this twice before with regular old Krylon and they worked fine. Once was in a white themed case and then flat black. I'll let you know tomorrow if everything is A-ok

The spray paint negates any benefit the heatsinks added to that RAM.

Well what's done is done. They do look peach in the pic=crappy camera phone. Trust me they're red in person. I would have taken the spreaders off but i have no access to good quick thermal pads and more money than patience so.. Enough negativity just check out the final product tomorrow.
