A new Clear Case Idea !! ( wicked )

Thread Starter
Ok, so this is a very simple but i find clever idea. Since heat rises. I tough of putting the hotest part of the computer all the way at the bottom and the DVD-rom to cut abit the heat going directly to the hard drive ...and then finally using the power supply as the exhaust. There would be a intake near the cpu!
So if anybody has any suggestion and or idea let me know !!!

That will make for one warm psu. Forcing all the heat thru it won't be very good. Along the same design tho, if you ran a duct straight accross from the cpu goung out the other side then that would isolate a lot of heat and the psu wouldnt be trying to suck it all out. The cooling in a psu is designed to cool the psu...not be used as a case exhaust.

ya but the case is going to be tall so the heat will have some time to cool off before it gets to the top !!

That won't make a difference except to take longer for all the temps to rise. Eventually the heat will build up and everything will get warm. You would be better off putting in top exhaust fans along side the psu.

It seems you have put some thought into it, I'm assuming you know heat rises, which is why the exhaust fans are on the top. That seems like a good idea to me

Good Luck

Looks good By the way your drawing of the heatsink was superb but the rest of the case could use some work J/K

Cant wait to see this one.
