Hey guys,
i've been reading a lot about which coolant is best to use in a watercooling
system. Actually it seems to me that distilled water and 1-2 drop of PT Nuke
would be the best choice. I'd like you to help me understanding something:

1) There're 2 kind of Petra's Tech biocide, which one i should use considering
my setup : EK supreme HF full nickel + mcp350 + magicool dual slim rad (just
fins are made of copper) ????

2) Is it important where i go buy distilled water? I mean, if i go and get it on
a supermarket is actually the same thing or is better to get it from a more
specialized shop? If yes, which is best kind of shop to get it?

3) *sigh* i cannot find anywhere on Europe someone that sells PT Nuke,
does anyone know which online shop can sell it there?

Please help me out! Thank you

i run distilled water + silver coil

you can make a silver coil your self just go to any jeweler and ask for about 2 inches of 99.999% silver wire and twist it in to a spiral just small enough to fit in you tube

and from what i understand all distilled water is the same i got 5Lt of distilled water from the supermarket for $2.30 AUD

Since everyone is obviously not living in the USA, there is other alternatives to the usual ''Killcoil + Petra PT Nuke and you're done'' recommandation we always can read in here.

You can buy 12'' long .999 pure silver wire on ebay for very cheap, and then twist it and make your own ''killcoils''. I use one in every res I have.

PT Nuke is copper sulfate. So you can buy copper sulfate instead if you can find some locally. Lugol's solution is also another really cheap alternative, and working well in my loop with twisted silver wire bought from ebay. Every pharmacist on the planet can sell you Lugol's solution.

I always use 1-2 drops of Lugol in 1 liter of distilled water + ebay pure silver wire. Never had any problems over the years using this.

Since you don't live in the US, there are always alternatives.

Anything that is pure silver will be sufficient as a biocide.

You could also try some other biocides, such as iodine or aquarium copper sulfate solution. Hell, if you're in a local university or school, you could ask them for a little bit of the solution

As for distilled water, there's no difference between store bought and specialized stores. If you mean buying the feser distilled, then all you're paying for is a cool looking bottle.

i used a $2 gallon of distilled from walmart, added a $3 silver strip (that i coiled so it would fit in my resivoir.. and it looks cooler coiled) and presto.. haven't opened the loop in months and it still looks like it did the first day.
