Ok, so i have 2gigs of ram, 1gig + 2x512, i take out 1 512 and i check in CPU-Z that the MHZ went from 176 to 220mhz so im just wondering should i stay with the 1.5gigs?

When all 4 slots are occupied you cpu memory controller is working overtime and thus needs to run at a lower Mhz

I have 3 slots and these all all completely different rams which i think may be making it run slower, so more mhz is better right? so sticking with 1.5gigs would be better?

Yes or No

I think Loki answered you good. If you want to run at a higher MHz in relation to your overclock, then maybe running with less memory would be beneficial. Have you ever run MemTest on those sticks. One of those sticks may not be performing as it should. Run it with all three and if you have errors, take two out and run each one at a time to narrow it down. You should at the very least be able to get to the design MHz of 200, even with 3 sticks in. You might want to play around a little and do some benchmarking with every different scenario.

So you will be able to answer your own question through benchmarking tests, like SiSoft Sandra. Good luck.
