Hey, im planning on building a new computer as a graduation present and i could use some advice. Could i use any upgrading on some parts or did i just get wrong parts, and i have heard that the evga x58 mobo like to get hot, im already planning on doing a watercooled loop for the cpu and graphics but should i include the mobo in it to or should it be ok? Thanks.

That's a boss setup right there. Make sure you get a boot SSD and a large capacity 7200RPM drive. I would have no qualms with your setup (maybe get a Intel 930 instead of a 920), except my own personal preference when it comes to the case (I like simple Lian Li cases). I've heard the Obsidian is horrible for air cooling, but with water... you're laughing.

Thanks for the fast replies! Should this ssd be good for boot? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820167023
and ive also heard the corsair 800D case is pretty bad on cooling with air and i know the x58 mobo tends to get hot, should i be ok with just leaving the stock mobo cooler on it?

That is the one I would run
Actually, that is the one I do run

For the price, and overall performance, it is the best.

Do you want to hook me up with a graduation present by any chance
