Help: Getting Black Screen On Boot.

Thread Starter
Hey guys, i just got finished installing my cosair TX750 power supply. It booted at first with bios screen and it froze. So after a while of waiting, i decided to reset the cmos by moving the jumpers like in the manual. I accidently turned it on the 2-3 jumpers (Stock CMOS Settings) and got a black screen. I put it back to the 1-2 jumpers (Default) and now i don't get a bios screen. (It turns on an all, but can't boot.)

I'm kinda worried, if I fried my motherboard or did something really bad to it.

Does anyone have any idea what should i do?

Did you make sure to turn off your power supply when clearing the CMOS?

If not, turn it off and try clearing it again. Then revert the jumpers to normal and power it back on.

first off why the psu change? second have you checked to make sure everything is properly connected including the gfx card? everything plugged in? do you have any error codes on the MB itself?

Did you Pull the Power Plug, and then set the jumper to Clear CMOS? Do that, and wait 10-20 seconds. Put Jumper back to normal, and then plug in.

ALso, did you make sure your 12v 4Pin is connected to your Mobo as well? Sometimes we forget, but I've also not had it seated all the way before, and it caused similar issues. --
