No, I'm betting it's your motherboard. Use 2T instead of 1T and you're probably going to have to use an 11X multiplier if your board struggles with htt over 250. Hmm...I tried to link you to Anandtech.com because they also struggled with your motherboard, but it says the site doesn't exist anymore?

It could be your mobo but I know nothing about ASUS boards. Also you may need to loosen your memory timing also.

My overclocks for my KABGE are in my sig. I run 2.64, 240x11 prime95 stable. 24/7. Seems around 2.6ish is the sweet spot for my chip. I can get it 2.75 stable but it takes a lot of voltage to do it.

my guess would be that it is either your RAM or you haven't set your htt multi down to 3 or 4x.

use this guide to find the maxes of your mobo, cpu and RAM.
http://www.overclock.net/faqs/31782-...limits-my.html

my asus deluxe board can handle a htt up to 350Mhz, but after 240 you have to run a 2T memory command rate.

I've read the asus guide before. So here is where I'm at;
10x260
266 divider ( only way it boots)
3 3 3 8
ht 3x
1.55 vcore
This is where I'd like to be, but I get rounding error of 5.0 must be under 4.0

Any thing I'm missing to make it prime stable? Or is the RAM the problem? Memtest seems to run ok.

have you found the max of your cpu separately? put your RAM on a 100 dividor and see if your cpu is prime stable at 2.6
