Get an H50, it's really worth the extra $15
post #14 of 82
I say H50 as well. Have one on both a PhII x4 and an i7. Dual fans with push/pull, it is hard to beat.

I use a coolermaster v-10 its a hybrid peltier of sorts extremely easy installation however it is a very tight fit without a full tower case. runs my Q9550 @ 3.8 GHZ max volt 61 celcius. I absoultely love the performance and it looks cool...

What about the V8? I realize it is not a MegaHelms or Noctura. But, I have one already on a 955 BE and was thinking about upgrading my Mobo and CPU, as I may come into some funds.

Sorry for bumping up the thread, but I have a similar problem.
Right now I have an Arctic Cooling Freezer 13, but it can't keep the temps below 60C under prime95, even with 3.5Ghz@1.325V.
So I need a new one, but I don't want to spend more then 60$ to a cooler.
Right now I'm thinking of Scythe Yasya or Mugen 2. I can get both around 60$.
I'm a bit skeptic about yasya, because it doesn't have a backplate. What do you think?
Or is there any better cooler at this price range?
Thanks.
