Just got on here and wanted to say hi all and want to start to learn alot. I need to get rid of this VERY OLD computer (PII-450) Looking at a Athlon 64 3500 to 4000+ board maybe Asus or MSI. I'm trying to find out what's on the market, and where's the best place to buy.

Hi and Welcome
When you get a chance, go to your USER CP and fill in your system specs.

Looks like you need to start a build log and request opinions

hey i would advise for a ECS mobo because you are starting out. they are reliable. MSI is okay, but ECS is a little better for OCing.

you are looking at Socket 939, right?

i would say newegg or zipzoomfly (.com) will get you great deals on just about anything

welcome to the workd of overclocking
