Area 51 - Update 1 - Fabrication of prototype RAM/NB cooler.
I am making a fan bracket that will hold 2 80mm fans to cool my RAM as well as 1 80mm fan to cool my HOT nvidia north bridge. This is just a prototype so it is not very pretty. All metal cutting was done with a dremel and I did all of the bending with a makeshift brake.
My messy workbench that I haven't used in almost a year.
Some of this stuff had to be cleared off to use it.
Taped off the old side panel that would be sacrificed for this part
First couple of cuts
Preparing for first bend (notice the flimsy ruler. that is why the first bend is so bad)
Second bend (this time i scored the metal where i would cut it and used a thick metal file instead of the flimsy ruler)
One ram fan (imagine a second right next to it)
My current nb/ram setup (stock 60mm fan was too loud and whiney for me)
Test fitting my prototype
