You need to read the (how to) guide as many times as it takes. Then youll have to download a program that will allow you to overclock, at this point if you dont know what motherboard you have, or what clockgen you have youll never be able to over clock, so you will have to figure out what motherboard you actualy have for example (ASUS P4G533-La) which is a board comonly found in pre-built Hp's and Compaq's. If you cant figure out what motherboard you have, your going to have to find the clockgen chip on your MOBO, once you figure that out, then you can began overclocking if the program you download has the clockgen number in its list. Sound easy enough?? When and if you get to this point then you can start to increase your FSB form 100 or 133 or what ever your CPU has, and then you can begin to actualy overclock.
Good luck and report back with your results.

Ok heres what your gonna have to do, take the side panel off your case (yes take the panel off the case see if the board has any numbers letter or number groups like the picture bellow, right them down on a piece of paper, if there is any. Then look for the crystal that has the number similar to the 2nd picture bellow(it wont be the same but it has to start with 14.) once you find that crystal look for the chip right next to it(normaly it has ICS and a bunch of numbers on it like the picture bellow) you need to right them down as well. Now youve figured out which clockgen you have so now you can put the PC back together. Go to this link http://www.cpuid.com/clockgen.php scroll down the page a little bit and see if your board or your clockgen chip is listed, if it is then download the one you need. If its not then try another progeam called CPUFSB, which can be found here http://www.majorgeeks.com/CPUFSB_d420.html , you need to download this and install it.
Once again youll have to see if your board is listed, if not then youll have to find your clockgen number in the list (CPUFSB supports alot more chips)
Now when I first started doing this I did it all on my own with little help, so here I have pretty much did all the work for you, so what you do from here is up to you.

Well this sucks. I can't OC mine AT ALL. I have the ICS 952010. And in clock gen its not supported. And in the other thing its listed but when i click it and select all my stuff I have. But when i click fine tune it doesnt do anything so im guessing its not supported by THAT program either.

Then i was readnig somemore and it was showin all the supported ones and then the non supported ones. and it said that the ones that arent supported are IMPOSSIBLE to change cause thier locked by the manufacture.

Well what are some better ways to UP performance by what i have?

That sucks I was able to overclock my Compaq 5010nx via Clockgen, and was able to overclock my Compaq 1103 via CPUFSB.
I hate to say it but theres realy nothing you can do other then getting some better ram and or a good video card. If you want to overclock, your gonna need to buy a new board. Id recomend building a new system if possible but if not then just get a new board for now. Check out this board, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813138262 its cheap it works nice, and it has some great overclocking items in the bios, plus it will allow you to use your current CPU then you can upgrade it later to a P4 533mhz or 800mhz CPU.

That is actualy the board I took pictures of, I just built 2 new systems so I no longer use it. It has the Celey D 335 2.8ghz CPU in it right now.

LOL thats kinda the reason for my first post!! If you dont know how to take a PC apart and put it back together then stay away from overclocking till you learn more about your system!!
