I tried messing with HTT multiplier, oh yea got that figured out on the bios, to get to the golden rule of 1000 or less. Even with adjusting the NB and SB to 600MHz(3x) I still was not able to push the processor any further.
It seems like a lack of voltage as being my main problem. It could be my processor has hit a stone wall, but it does not act like that. Another issue is my ram, anything over 215MHz and my computer blinks. The chips on my memory on Winbond new BH-5 that do not shine until you pump 3.2 to 3.3 volts through them. This motherboard only allows you to go up to 2.8 volts.
I tried one of the VDimm mod the other day and it just caused audible errors from my motherboard, windows would not load and I had to clear CMOS. I either need to try a different mod or get some TCCD or UCCC memory that likes 2.8 volts. The next time I have to rip my case open I will do the VCore Mod and see if it is indeed a lack of voltage to my Opteron.
It seems for now with my current setup the attached files is my sweet spot, as far as getting the most out of my memory and processor.
I will post something in the AMD Bios mod about the OCWorkbench Beta Bios.
