6800GS eVga Pipe Unlock Issue!

Thread Starter
OK after pulling my hair out i found the problem of my random crashing. ONLY when i unlock my extra pipes on my GS i get problems with games like BF2 and CSS crashing to a hard reeboot! I know it is the pipes because i have done EXTENSIVE testing on this rig. My question is Has anyone had this type of issue and found a workaround for it? Maybe a bios flash or something i dunno. All my HW specs are in my sig if you wanna know any.

It's the stock GS BIOS, same happened to me.
I'll see if I can make you a custom BIOS tomorow for your GS, and that should fix it.

Hey guys! I just recently bought an eVGA 6800GS CO edition 256 agp card and have been all over the net trying to open this baby up. I can do it, but not without artifacting. the card is 400/1.1ghz 12/5, I can get it to 12/6 easy. I've tried modifying the bios to 1.4v and trying to lower my cards speed to see if that might fix things...no luck. So what I'm getting at is; Is this as much as I'm going to get out of my card (no complaints mind you!) OR do you think a custom Bios might end the artifacts. And if yes on the 2nd option.....could someone send me it because other than voltage I really don't know what I'm doing. thanks!
