hey everyone i just bought an asus a8n5x and an athlon x2 4400 toldeo and i just realized as an after thought, will i have to update my bios to allow my motherboard to recognize the cpu...the motherboard says revision 1.00 on it buyt the driver cd that comes wiht it says 159.04 revision so uhhh....i have no idea,help me im stupid

Hi,

Have you put the machine together and tried to start it up?

Thats what i would d. As for flashing the bios, if it's a half decent motherboard it should work, but may only recognise a single core. Then, if your system is up go to ASEUS web page and go to download the latest bios for your mother board - ditch the CD IMO.

Alwars best to get the most uptodate ones.

I Agree, try to start it up and if something go wrong than flash the bios with the last version available.
