A Few Questions on the Big Typhoon

Thread Starter
i got a few questions regarding my big typhoon which i recently purchased...

1) I put this monster in, and my temps have dropped only about 1 or 2 degrees celcius at idle which is about 33C i havent checked at load as i havent got time to play around right now. Is there something wrong here?

2) Will it matter if my 2 rear 80mm fans are close to the BT? (around 1-2 cm)

3) Im doing some major upgrades soon and i was wondering what i have to do in order to get more of those sticky pads and the h-clip for my new mobo? or can i just peel them off?

well thats about it, thanks for any help!

I would recommend against the sticky pads and the theraml paste they provide.

Get your self some AS5, It's the best theraml paste on the market IMHO

Do you have any windows on your case with fans? because those fans push the hot air out and the cool air in.

I think he is referring to the sticky pad that you use for installing the Big Typhoon, which attaches on the back of the mobo.

1) It is at load where you will see the improvement. At idle, your CPU can only get as cold as your case is(except in the case of windchill factor, but that only helps a few degrees).

2) As long as they're exhaust fans, it's good.
