OCZ Vertex 2 vs. Agility 2

Just a quick question I could not seem to find an answer to by googling/other searches.

What is the difference between these? The specs on Newegg for two different capacities are identical.

Big link to comparison: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...227%2D532%2DTS

Vertex 2 4KB random writes up to 50,000 IOPS thanks to the special firmware tweak only found on the OCZ Vertex 2 (+ Corsairs Force SSD at the moment). This allows it to be as fast as an SF-1500 Edition. The Agility 2 provides similar performance at slightly lower price but 4KB random writes are 10,000 IOPS only, but this is still alot compared to other SSD's out there.

For example Intel's G2 80GB has Random 4KB Writes 6,600 IOPS and 160GB has 8,600 IOPS.
I hope this answers your question

I'd like to hear what Duckie has to say about this. There are now 4 drives bouncing around in my head right now.

Do they use identical flash? The old Vertex used Samsung flash only, Agility used whatever flash available. Any chance the same might apply to the Vertex 2 and Agility 2 as well?

Thanks for clearing up the IOPS!
I think Intel's are a bit overrated for now, let's see what Gen3 brings to the table...

Vertex 2 is OCZ's top of the line SSD, yes. The Vertex 2 is one of the highest performing consumer grade SATA SSD's you can buy right now.
