Keep using 9800XT

Thread Starter
Hi, I just got my dad's old 9800PRO 128mb (flashed to XT) and well, it sucks. The 9800 On his computer, he got like 75fps in CS:S. (he had AMD 64 3500 & 1GB ram). But with my rig, (AMD XP 1700 & 1GB ram) I get like 30fps in CS:S. I know he would get better frame rates because (duh) his 3500 vs my 1700, AND my AGP slot is only 4X and his is 8X. So my question is, would I be better off keeping the 9800 in my machine runing at half speed, or use my old GeForce 3 at full speed? HELP PLEASE!!!

you will be better off with the 9800 for sure, cuz it supports later DX and shaders.

The GF3 will not be supported by many of the newer games out there.
