First OverClock in 10 Years! With Confusing Tempertures

Yep that is right, my first one since 1996 when I OCed a Pentium 166MMX to 200MHz. I thought that was waaay cool. Here is my second and in my opinion a waaaay cooler one. Took about 2 hrs of playing with the bios but I think I did alright. I OCed my 3700 SD to 2.8. Not a bad start to this crack like hobby.

280 x 10 3x HTT 333MHz mem 3-3-3-6 timings 1.55 core voltage

My temps are confusing. I do not know which program to believe. Everest Home says the CPU is idleing along at 31c and topped 38c under load when benching the thing. BUT Nvidia monitor says the CPU is 43c idle and 53c under load. I find a similar temp in Everest listed as the Aux. Which program is right? I just put the processor in 4 days ago so I know the AS5 is not set and temps will go down some when it cures but in the mean time which temp reading is correct? The screen caps are at idle.

One other question is on memory. Do the numbers in CPU-Z look right? I have the mem set at 333MHz in the bios with looser timings than the 2-2-2-5 it does stock at 400MHz. The voltage is 2.8.

Any tips on getting it the OC higher and some good mem timings would be great.

Thanks for all the GREAT info on here as I could not have done it without it. You guys are top notch and no BS when I comes to this stuff.

If the BIOS is accurate it will reflect about 80% of the full load CPU temp.
BTW... WTG very good effort
I recall when I had a 150
That RAM should take up to 2.9v ... sorry CPU-Z is difficult to read.
You do seem to be on track so far.... Have you set the CPC or Command for the RAM to T2

OH, BTW, thry to keep the full load temp @ or below 50°f ... very low 50s is not to scarry but keep a good eye on that!

So lets say the bios says 80 that means the load temp would be 100? (fake numbers of course) I will look at the bios on next reboot and see what that number is and if I follow right add 20% and that is load?

And Thank You.

Yes 2T. Right arm on the max volts but do I need to push it that high and what will I get with 2.9...more stable at tighter times?

Sorry CPU-Z shot is hard to read...check the validation link and I will fix the screen shot later.

Yes... higher vdimm will get you higher speeds and possibly tighter timings. That Plat rev2 can handle it
BTW... added case air flow is always a plus.
