Try any 3d benchmark & see if your vga is causing any trouble!!!

Or try reinstalling the game

Does it always freeze up at the exact same point? Maybe you've hit a bug? I played it on the XBox and hit a similar bug, the game crashed on me when I was trying to lift this pillar if I did it BEFORE I killed the T-Rex that was after me. This was a consistent and repeatable problem, and I was ticked off. But when I killed the T-Rex first, the game did not crash and I was able to move on.

Yeah, instead of looking for drivers or such, it would maybe be a good idea to take a peak at their forums or something, to see if any other has a similiar problem, and make sure you have the game patched. Otherwise I don't see any other way to solve it, than to make sure you keep your save games and just reinstall the game.

I encountered a similar problem while playing UT2004; my system was prime (12 hours) and super pi 32M stable, but would occasionally lock up while I was online gaming. I upped the vcore by a little bit and that seemed to cure the problem. Maybe this will work, maybe not- good luck!!

Yeah, code can be funny like that sometimes. In both of our cases we were just executing (or not executing) a specific piece of code, or maybe executing the same code but on a different set of data. And that little change avoids the bug.
