I had no cash in the budget for shipping "as little as it is/was" to ASUS, so I sold my old athlon xp 1800+ for $40 so it was to late by the time i got the cash to ship it, so its going to have to wait till monday now.

Ok, I might stealth the drive, or just buy a slot loading dvd-rom/r/rw/+/- haha drive, but either way I'll be re-routing the eject/load button.

Yeah, I dont think I really wanna go X-Fi yet... To much money for the same 5.1/7.1 performance I could get from a $40 SB Live 5.1/7.1 24bit/96khz card. So thats probably what I'm gonna get.

So I have an old piece of metal "used for fixing holes in exhaust in cars, its seems to be just big enoguh for me to use as a Piece for I/O

the sheet

where its going to go...

just above the highest cut there should be just enough room for an 80mm fan, and i'll only be going as wide as the audio ports.

the number 1 killer or hard drives is heat, and it looks like you blocked off the HDD's Air-Hole"the on marked do not cover this hole..."

Move it up and add a HDD cooler.

After that i would liek to say i am VERY inspired to do this mod, i just wish i would not have throw my HTPC case away....
