That would be an awsome Overclock. Better post some screen shots and do some stability tests. I would be amazed to see it do 300 FSB on air, if it actualy does, I might look into getting a 950. Good luck and make sure to keep us informed with your findings.

I've got my 920 at 287 FSB right now at 1.3v, a little warm at full load on both cores (62c), but my case airflow is less than stellar I think.

With good airflow, I bet he can hit 300.........

I wouldnt bet on it(Im not a gamblin man) but Im sure he will get pretty close. This is the highest Ive seen VIA CPUZ's record page. PD 930@375 PD920@350 PD 940@325. And I know those are not air. The rest are quite a bit lower then those and usualy are around the 286-FSB area. But once he gets it tested we'll find out.

yeah, I take it back....LOL....I had to back down to 265, I was testing my long term (ie: 24/7) temp control by running 2 Prime95s all day as I noticed in the 6 hour test the load temps were 3 degrees higher at the end of the test than they were in the first 2 hours.......

Anyway, after 7 hours I got an error at 287FSB and temps were at 66-67c so no more Vcore.......but I was only at 1.3125 or something, not much over stock anyway.......

better cooling needed LOL

Sorry guys, just got back into the states yesterday. I was in Poland and the Czech Republic for two weeks on business.

Anyway, the last time I posted I was waiting on the all the pieces to arrive. They got here but when I was putting everything back together I had a hard drive go out on me. Got that fixed and got everything booted up.

All I can say is this chip kicks ass! Sitting at 4.5ghz right now... on air. Temps are a little though so I need to tweak some more but we'll see how it goes.

Present state:
FSB 266
VCore 1.525
DRAMM 1.9
Idle Temp 48C
Load Temp 56C

I reset the heatsink because after the first install I rushed and but a bit too much thermal paste on. Got that fixed now but the temps are still a bit higher than I'd like. Anyway, here's a CPUZ screenshot for now:

Got the temp down a few more degrees by lowering the vcore, lowest I can go though is 1.45, below that and it won't boot.....

Idle is now 44C, still high I think, but ambient temp in the room is close to
75F so that may be part of it.

Sweet so youve got a 1.1ghz overclock so far. Now youve only got another 34 more adjustments to get to the 300fsb spot. Probably gonna need to go with water cooling before you go any higher.

Also you might want to fiddle with the multiplier, drop it down to like 14x and gain some bus speed.
