Took all night to sort out the cooling issues. Overclocking will be done tonight. whats the best tool to use for these asus cards?

CPU is @ 4.2 ghz 65-68C under-load and gpu 1 is 85C under load while gpu2 is at 65C. My next mod is to cut a whole in the top of the case to allow cool air from up top via a 92mm fan.

One card was fine, but when putting in the second, it would choke the first card as it couldn't get any air. Moving the h50 to the otherside and using the aerocool fan as an intake right at the graphics cards intake port has helped alot. I am considering double stacking two r4's and making a shroud that will direct the airflow right to the intake ports on the back of both cards. What do you think?

I love this case too much to give up on it. It's so compact and really good looking.

I would like to note that the soc's would not run at all in x-fire, even with my modified airways.

The asus cards took sustained temps of 104C without locking up in furmark. Now that is amazing considering the soc locked up at 89C.

Wow, thats pretty high temps. They are built to a high standard then normal 5870's but don't push it. Best overclocking utility for the Matrix is it's own supplied utility. It is probably included it a cd that came with them. It allows voltage adjustments of the gpu and memory. Memory timings can also be adjusted with that utility. i advise that you do not over volt your cards until you get the cooling situation solved.
