2D mode @1.2volt, was 1.3v. Less heat and less strain on your card, thus longer life.
3D = 100% fan speed, 2D = 50% (Less noise, if no difference, set it back to 100%)

That's all. It's not much, but to don't have to OC everytime you try drivers, is a must have.
I did not touched the voltage in 3D mode, it's at 1.3v like it was.
How do you check if your card is throtteling? Dont you use riva tuner for that?

Yes I use RivaTuner. If your speed as been set to 460mhz but work at 350mhz, then your card is throtling.

It's a feature to protect the card.
Under too much stress, clock too high,

Well my card work perfectly at 425mhz, was 415 before.

Aaaaah, so the high o/c is down to it being PCI-e. I knew an AGP 6800 couldn't o/c that far..

Is the 6800gs better than the GT? I am confused about the different models. I have a 6800 GT AGP. I overclocked it to 400/1000 and it seemed to run fine, except when I played FEAR, it was horrible...almost unplayable at the "auto detect" settings.

What can I do to make the 6800gt better? I have the latest drivers.

thanks

I mean extremely poor FPS.. The graphics looked fine, but it was choppy and sticky that I couldn't play it. Could this have anything to do with my PSU?

No, your card would not work.

This is Driver related. Not a Bad driver set, but the Setting you use.
Like, don't set Antialiasing at 8xS (4x max)and Anisotropy at 16x (8x max in some cases).

Disable Vertical Sync.

Thread Starter
Hey, I was wondering, should I be worried by my card's load temp? 70 celcius at load, that's playing FEAR on max, I've asked this question over in Gamefaqs and quite a few people said my card is gonna die, but I trust those idiots about as much as I respect them, which isn't much, you guys here though, I trust

Should I set my card back to stock settngs and invest in a better cooling system, or is 70 okay? It's 40 celsius when idle.
