Check it out! Im fairly new to overclocking. I think my mobo is holdin me back on the ram timming. FSB is 150mhz. Go any higher and windows wont boot without adjusting ram. Adjust ram to 2.5/4 and i can boot but i can tell something just aint right. 3.24 max ive had but i didnt even run a stability test cus it just didn't "Feel" right, if you know what i mean. If someone can help me with this would be great. I am pretty sure its my MOBO bios cus i cant even adjust voltages. Displays voltages but theres no way to change. Anyways this is for the Celeron D BOYZ! YEAH!

OK, i think it is a powerly supply problem. I was looking around for some errors while booting when i would push it to failure, and i noticed the numbers it was shwoing for my extra HDD were different when it failed. So i uplugged the HDD and whadd'yaknow it booted. I actually pushed it to 3.30 ghz then i realized... i need that hdd for all my other junk. So until i get a new ups. im stuck. input? maybe im still wrong. i still dont fully understand ram timming

advice on a good one, i will agree to that also, it was the cheapest mobo i could find on NEWEGG.com for lga775 chipset. Whatever the new mobo i need sli, cus i have one sli compatable gfx card, planning on getting another soon and trying that

ok just bought an asus mobo because i tried to install the sli nvidia6600gt and i dont have pciexpress.. bummer... lol good reason to get a new mobo though

Which ASUS did you get? The P5ND2-Sli?

I've heard lots of people have trouble with the SLI chipset for intel's, but I have seen a few people around here that have them and seem happy.

ASUS P5GPL-X, got some good reveiws on NEWEGG. All i want is to get a lil' more on the OC and some sli, like i posted i bought the 6600GT sli and my PCChips mobo(which i think sucks) doesnt have PCIExpress X16, it says pci express on the back on the box, but hmm guess not. Another ? too, witch two 6600gts in sli, will that give me DOUBLE the performance, or will another card just "add" to the effects of some of the built in aspects such as shading and the basic nvidia components?

also, when i get this new board i will be posting this mobo on ebay. Anyone who wants to buy it before hand drop a line. it has two sata150 connectors on the board, one of the connectors came lose and popped off, one is left (which i am currently using). I am running a 40gig through IDE and 80gig through remaining SATA150 port. It is an overclockable board, but the board will not let you access voltages or advanced ram timing. Which will hold you back a bit, but a great board for cheap and will get the job done. davidanthonyrich@yahoo.com drop a line. I paid like 50 bucks, will let it go for 25$ plus shipping.

SLI Info

It says "up to double" so it sounds like double the performance is possible........but not a guaruntee.......
