7800GTX SLi or WD Raptor

Thread Starter
Should I get another 7800GTX and hook them up in SLi or get the new

Western Digital Raptor X 150GB 10,000 RPM Serial ATA150 Hard Drive

I see the drive comes in two flavors, a cool looking expensive one and a $70 cheaper one that doesnt look very cool. Im kind of thinking the hard drive because my 7800GTX runs great and I don't think I need a new one but will this Raptor make my computer load stuff faster compared to my WD 200GBx2 in RAID-0

The load times will be slighly shorter, but its not really going to be noticed that much. For gaming, video card upgrades are the most efficent investments you can do to your computer. GTX SLI dude.

Oo... The GeForce 7800GTX is a beast! everything is so smooth and pretty at max settings...
another one will just give you extra fps... it wont help you! just more impressive... the WD will give better loading time... so... if you are looking for better performance get the WD! (... ... ... ...)

It really depends how long your gonna hold your parts. Another 7800GTX imo would be overkill, when you could get an upcoming 7900gtx or even save up (or sell your current gfx card) and get a 1900xtx. But for performance now, i think 7800gtx would be the way to go. In a few months more next gen games such as ut2007 is coming out and will take advantage of SLi. Another hdd imo wouldn't provide any or little performance increase except a slight loading time decrease.
