I'd wait on a hex until bulldozer hits the streets next year, and save your pennies in the mean time.

Definitely go w/ DDR3 as DDR2 is seriously on the way out right now. For instance,Asus's newest gen boards are strictly DDR3. I'm certain all others will follow quickly in line,if they aren't already there. No sense in buying dead socket ram either.
Lol i didnt notice the memory was ddr2, my bad. Also, from what ive seen, games that use all four cores are not very common, although they are growing, so games that use all 6 cores are even rarer, so it would compensate that much using the x6.

Oh no, this thread was moved over "there."

Yeah, going through those combo deals can be pain. Oftentimes, one good item is paired with another that isn't so good. Hopefully, you find a good pair of DDR3 ram in a combo, that is, if you're still pursuing the combo route.

This is a pretty awesome setup for the price...and bear in mind it gives you a $15 gift card to go along w/ it. Leaving a bit for the case. Save a week or two and you can get a nice case to go w/ it.

M3h,I usually go the stepped upgrade route. For instance,I'm getting ready to head to four cores from my 3 core...getting the ram and mobo 1st which my 3 core will support. Then the cpu when I have a little extra a bit later. Btw...the Geil Black Dragon series is a low latency set of sticks w/ 7-7-7 timings. You won't find anything in that range performancewise w/o paying alot more.

OP stands for "orgami penguin." It's a common acronym that is often used throughout these forums, like LOL.

Just kidding, it means original poster.

In regards to the above post, I think the ram is too expensive (my opinion). I'd opt for some G.Skill Ripjaws for $~110 instead. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-277-_-Product

Troll? E8400 is still a rocking CPU. Easily hits 4.0Ghz on air. It's getting outdated, and falling behind, as is the entire 755 socket, but it is nowhere near crappy.

Sorry, but I think I speak for everyone when I say that you'll need to give us the specific model in English.

From the link you provided, I can't understand anything, except the branding on that box of the PSU, which I believe is...Eurotech? Never heard of it. :/

Thanks!
