Haha. I have a Radeon 9550. Would i be better off leaving it or flashing it to a 9600? And if i should flash it, how do i do it? Please help

it's able to flash? i have a 9550 for the 2nd comp that i didnt install yet... so... dunno how 'good' it is...

do you have any benchmarks & are you satisfied with what it can put out?

i am not entirely sure that you can flash ur card to 9600 but if i remember well it has been done. you would need to in the case you can do it, the latest 9600 bios for the same card as yours but of 9600 version (meaning from the same mfg with the same ram and so on) and a diskette. backup your existing bios and then flash the new bios to your card. but before u proceed further, check out the FAQ section and find the appropriate guide because although i have done this before the info is a bit rusty and its better u check out the correct method from the guides.

Yeah. Im positive it can flash. And i am satisfied with what the card can do, during gameplay. That is sort of why i am wondering if it is worth the time and effort?

i dont think you would see much difference though if u r happy with what you have. its more of a stop gap measure because i dont think there is much between the 9550 and the 9600.

It can be flashed You just have to find the right bios for your Memory also im not sure if the 9550 se can be flashed i could be wrong though as i cant remember if its only like the 9500 or the pro version that can be flashed.
