No Help At All Why Is That ? - Page 6

I have not read through the entire post, have you discussed the chip type on your memory? Is it BH-5, CH-5, TCCD, UCCC, etc. If you have the platinum El version it is TCCD that likes around 2.7 to 2.8 Volts, and if it is Gold El it is UTT BH-5 and does not shine until you pump 3.2 volts into them. Try to up the VDimm if you have the Gold El and see if that works.

If your temps are not too high and you have sufficient airflow you should have not problem running at 1.5 volts for your VCore.

I think those may have the TC3B chips. Can not find any information on that though. If it is like other TC... chip memory it will run best at 2.7 or 2.8 Volts. Is you memory set at 1T or 2T? Try 2T if you have not already. It would not hurt to try to loosen those timings, 2.5-3-3-6 or something like that. I got nothing else, lol.

Good luck bro. Better be nice now or I am going to steal your gravy fries. Haha.

What are your load temps like, It hasnt been mentioned, remember you are still on air and cranking up the volts like you are cant be all that healthy. Sometimes lower volts can result in a better OC for it wont be so hot.

Well, i have read so many threads but that wont change my knoweldge cuz i already know how to overclock. In fact got the opty on my old asus mobo to 2.95ghz. This mobo cant get nuttin on it! Well i hope some1 that has knowledge about this mobo or my mems can help me with this. Cuz iam startin to think this DFI is not user friendly not good mobo and whoever said so, proly a lie. IAM NOT HERE TO FRAME ANY1 or to complain, also i dont want this thread to be closed or i get warnned NO all i ask is A STARTIN POINT TO OVERCLOCK. THAS ALL.
first of all, you're at the wrong site, go to dfi-street.com I post there alot too since I'm a DFI person.

Secondly, DFI are the best mobos for overclocking but they have many issues --it's not noob friendly, especially with ram and power.

what is fine????? DFI make very good motherboards but so do ASUS so maybe just maybe the ASUS is better for your particular set-up, have you checked around for different bios versions to suit your cpu, even with my old DFI nf3 mobo which is still a killer overclocker and one of the best ever -the bios versions are paramount!!! With my 3000+ venice installed and a particular bios version I could only get 2400 mhz out of it and with a simple flash I could get it to over 3000mhz- now that was amazing to me but that is just what can happen and how important matching and pairing the correct components together is, this is all about very fine tuning. You just cant crank it and hope it will survive and be stable(because it is a DFI), if it is not stable then it is worth nothing, I admit the 3006mhz was sitting there for about 10 minutes folding then crashed so it is hopless to me. Stability is everything!!!! Try a flash and see how you go
