IP setup

i have a static ip for my server, my only problem is if restart it remotly, i can reconnect remotly becuase the ip is setup is in windows is their anyway to have it setup during the boot, so i can remote connect even if havent logged on windows?

Motherboard: PT800CE-A (1.0)
Network Card: VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter

If you have a static IP set up on a wired NIC (some wireless will work too), it should initialize the NIC before you log into Windows. How are you connecting remotely? If you use remote desktop (terminal services), it should work fine. I have 13 servers at work, and 2 servers at home that all work fine in this manner.
