I've been checking around the web, but as you noted there's nothing really out there for you to use. The only other suggestion I have is to duct cold air into the inlet fan. I do that during the summer when the room temps begin to climb above 27degC or 80degF.

I will continue to look around though and post back if I see anything of interest...

Take care, :-)
Hi Buick,

Thanks for your effort. The Duke showed me an faq article about a guy who built a heatpipe which used R-134A. Although he had moderate success with it, I`ll use R-22 if I build one. It`s a lot colder and should work better. But for now I`m into another idea you can read about in my post to The Duke. One thing about my new chip, it is moving me up the rankings pretty fast. I`m now at 541 and just passed JackTheRipper.

Yeah, it should. My board goes up to 400MHz FSB, and so it probably would run. Probably have to run that by my parents though...

Alright, boosted up to 142MHz on the FSB, and it is chugging away happily. Not noticing a huge difference, but hey... Had to turn up my fan controller to keep it around 44C under load, though.

Argh, my X1950PRO crapped out after the new PSU installed. I guess I mishandled it but now it can't play games anymore (boot Windows fine), have anyone done RMA could shred me some light? I've never done it.

Just call them up? Not sure, but that was what it was like for when my keyboard died. They'll tell you what to do.

Hi shaj,

LBN is right. Call the people you purchased the card from and they will give you instructions and most importantly the RMA number. Without that number you can't do anything. They'll probably ask a lot of questions as well.

I've only RMA'd one thing. That was from zipzoomfly and it was a bad motherboard. The BIOS was shot. It never booted. They sent me another BIOS chip, but it still didn't boot up. I finally sent it to them and they sent me one back. It took almost 2 months for the whole process... I should have just ate the $56.00 bucks the motherboard cost me. It was a Biostar micro board for a P4 - 478 socket. The person I built the system for just "had to have" one of those cute little shuttle cases in blue... The system still works as far as I know.

I hope this helped you and good luck, :-)

Ok boys - I'm back!

The cable internet went down Friday PM and I was off line for over 36 hours!!! Man I was going crazy... I had 4 WU's to turn in AND couldn't visit here. It finally came up today, but I was at work.

According to the cable guy - the node in our local area was sent up wrong by a contractor buildng some new condos near us. I'm glad it's finally fixed!

Anyway, not being pressed to complete WU's for our team helped my not get too stressed out about it. I never realized how much pressure I placed on myself with the team competition and all. Now it's just me and I can relax... If I'm lucky, I might be able to break 100,000 points this month. Won't that be something!

Take care and Fold On! :-)

Yeah, it always sucks when the cable goes out. It's happened here once or twice. The other day my dad was messing around with his linux file server and did something to it (I think he updated to a newer version of whatever distro he's using), and it took out the entire network. Took him a few hours to fix.
