Hi shajbot,

Yeah I was up?? I was going to work, so I answered the questions when I got home and sent them via E-mail... I hope you get them.

BTW - Congrats on getting into the top 100 and staying there. If cappy doesn't get his rig(s) going soon, you'll be going by him, especially with that 4300 going... ;-)

Take care, :-)

Woot, only a month of classes left until finals start for me. However, it's less than two weeks until my exam for AP European History.

Hi LBN,

AP European History?? What's that??
Yeah my oldest was pretty excited about coming home last Friday. Her second year of college is over. She's carrying a 3.6 gpa as well. This last year was tough with, Chemistry II, (A), Physics II (B), Statistics (A) and Anthropology (B). She hated the last class, but had to take it for the General Ed classes...

As for Folders Inc... It shows you/us needing a member. Who left the team? cappy? hvac? shajbot?? Just curious...

Take care, :-)

I have no idea why that was like that... I musta forgotten to change something.

But yeah, AP EH is an advanced placement course. It's basically the history class for sophomore over-achievers at my high school. It's really hard, as it covers European history from the late 14th century until the fall of the Berlin wall in only a few months.

Hi LBN,

Yup everything is OK now!

14th century to Berlin wall... Ouch that is a lot of time to cover and try to keep in memory. I'm glad guys like you can do it. I certainly can't. I hated certain historical times. Like Early man and ancient times 500BC and so on...

I'm really glad those days of studying stuff I'll never use is over! Unless of course you like trivia and have a photogenic mind...

Take care buddy, :-)

Well, just to give you an idea, I made it to my state-level geography bee four years ago. Lost pretty quickly, though. Plus, if I ever make it onto Jeopardy, I'd probably win a bit of money.

Went to Target today to buy some retro-decorations. Ran in the NOW HIRING sign. Overly excited, spent the next hour entering infos and answering questions at the hiring applicant booth. I was actually looking for a summer job to...well, satisfy my rig and help out the family. Spent the next half an hour waiting for someone to call me up. Went to interview 1, went fine. The interviewer actually admires me for my level of knowledge and background. Waited another 15 minutes. Saw some fine girls employees in the lobby. Of course, only rich and pretty people go to Target.
Manager Liz called up, asked me what do I wanna do? I said CART ATTENDANT. She said Why? I said, I needed an income, job to fill my summer. Then she closed my application and said, she can't let me get the job, since I need couple months to train and by then summer is over....And I can't work in school years cuz of massive booked schedule...sucky...I feel rejected...

Hi shajbot,

That really tough! But it's a lesson learned. Take it from me, you can't be totally honest with your plans during an interview.

That last interview could have gone like this:
What would you like to do?
Anything. I'm a quick learner and will give anything a try. I love working working with with people and I shop here all the time. I want to give the customers the best service I can!
Great when can you start?
Anytime - depending on your schedule.

After you get hired then let them know that you do have a schedule and what days you can work. Never tell them that it's a short term deal, or that you only want the lowest job available... They can't and won't hire you.

There may be jobs though that only cater to the summer time or college type students. Try and find one of those...

BTW - Do not feel rejected! They did not reject you personally. They rejected your short term idea of employment.

I hope this helped, :-)
