I'll be joining the ranks of out-of-schoolers in a week and a half, on the 6th. Last is officially the 7th, but I don't have a history or religion final this year...

Hey LBN and Shajbot,

That is good news for you guys! No more homework, no more books and no more teacher's dirty looks... Just had to say that! It was my chant for several years after school let out for the summer... Yeah buddy!

You guys enjoy your time off with friends, family and/or with whom ever you hang with... Just check in every once and awhile here at OCN!

Take care, :-)

I'm not sure about modern era but I'm a baby boomer by a couple of years. Back in my school years it was dirt floors and candle light (Shoes were an option). JK I did feel guilty missing Vietnam and the draft, so I enlisted for 4 years. I'm glad I got out too but it was a learning experience for sure!

Try to get everything out of school you possibly can guys because after a few years of being in the workforce, you'll wish you were back there! 3 months off for summer doesn't happen unless your unemployed, and that's no fun. Winning the lotto would be the best way to work that one in.

I still havn't won the lotto after decades of trying, but I did win a Raptor.... so I'm good.

Well, if you still are booting Windows and other stuff off of the dud drive, then it will still hit bad sectors every now and then. Are you working on getting a new drive?

But yeah, even though I don't have a job this summer, I still am going to get paid a little bit. I do my school's after-school audio production club, and so I'm very good with a sound board. Because of this, our moderator asked me if I want to help him out with a show that one of our teachers is doing in Worcester. He said this because he's getting older and can't tell when feedback very well anymore when it's starting to form the loop. I can hear it immediately.

Also, Compaddict, teachers in most schools get off three months every year when summer vacation is going on. That's one perk to being a teacher.

Hi shajbot,

Are you out of school now? or Should I ask, Is the school closed now? One more week of folding will help Stanford, OCN and you....

BTW - Thanks for the kind words on the other thread. It was last October that I went for 100,000 points. I got that on October 15, 2006. Seems so long ago now.... Well now for the next milestone, 1 million! Wow... I think I'm going to need more Conroe rigs... Maybe in July I'll get another one going for the cause! (with the help of a friend!)

Take care and Fold On! :-)
