Snowing heavily and very windy right now. Can't say I have seen anything more furious!

Wow, snow in New Mexico! Bet that doesn't happen too often.

Hi Guys,

Yeah we had a storm go through last night with heavy winds. I was waiting for the power outages or at least a few bumps. Nothing so far... Keep your fingers crossed.

Take care and stay warm, :-)

Well, I'm not going to all-states. However, I've got a theory as to why.

They probably pick the best of each of the districts, instead of the best from they applicant pool. Last year there were 4 districts, and about 50 or 60 clarinets got recommendations to try out for about 25 spots. However, they reworked the districts this year so that there are 5, which meant there were about 70 or 80 clarinets trying out for the same spots. But, because of the proportionality, you had somewhere between 15 and 20 trying out for 5 spots.

15 and 20 trying for 5 spots. That means at least 3 people per spot, it must be very stiff. Ah well, good thing you tried. You still have next year don't you, and more competitions coming up. Take it easy LBN!

Ok Guys,

I can't let a full day go by without at least one post on our thread...

So how is everybody doing - Shaj/LBN??? I haven't seen ReCoil or HVAC in a long while. I hope you guys are Ok as well...

It's been cold here in Michigan over the past couple of days! -29DegF yesterday with wind chill factored in...

As for folding... I will be breaking 3 million points some time this weekend or perhaps Monday. All depends on how reliable the folding rigs stay. The E-8400 is up and running at 3.465Ghz and completing a WU every 17 hours or so... I will be bumping it up to 3.6Ghz in a couple of days. It has helped my PPD average a lot. Not to mention the X2-4200 I added over the retired P4 3.2C.

Hey LBN and Shaj, do you guys remember me going past 100,000 points back in October of 2006??? Seems like a long, long time ago doesn't it??

Well that's enough reminiscences for now!

Take care and Fold On! :-)

Hi LBN,

Yeah the folding farm is growing... of sorts. I've retired all but 2 of my P4 rigs. I will up those a little with the parts I have from others. I think I'm going to try and put a GPU folding card on a Quad next... That should be fun to watch if I can get both running - A Quad SMP folding and an X1950XTX GPU folding on the same rig....

Well take care and have a great day tomorrow! :-)
