Yeah it takes something to keep your rig up and produce consistent points, as long as you're folding, we're proud to have you in.

Hi cappy,

If I remember correctly it does ask the question for the passkey, but I can't remember when during the install. You'll put it in, just like your member name and team number alongside the []. You'll have to get a passkey from Stanford. It's an easy process, but required.

If I remember correctly, not all of my Windows XP folding rigs needed the passkey. On my Fedora 7 rigs they always do. So write it down somewhere safe. I couldn't always copy and paste the number. In either event, Windows or Fedora 7 I have to have a password to start up the computer and allow the OS to get going.

You'll also need to have a password embedded in Windows XP and I assume Vista. Which means on re-starts you'll have to type it in, or Windows won't start. You do that in your "Security Section" of Windows - adding a password. It's how Stanford changed the WU/machine designation so people can't place the FAH on computers they do not have admin rights too.

I hope that helped, :-)

My MOBO won`t allow it, and the rig is just too old. So, maybe one of these days I`ll just get a folding rig with a dual core and nothing extra. Then, at least I`ll be able to help out the team a little more. If anyone feels that I`m holding back the team, please let me know. I would give up my spot to someone who could add a lot more to the team. But right now I`m stuck with my rig as it is.
Hi HVAC,

Long time no hear... Glad t hear everything is still good with you... Shaj and LBN have spoken. Folders Inc is the second oldest team at OCN... And you're still in and wanted!
The other stuff will come when it does... I'll second their opinion. Welcome aboard!

In the past Folders Inc searched for new members ONLY when other members asked to be removed or stop producing for a long time - about a month or so without any feedback. HellgY fell to that. And shaj has been with us since then. Almost 2 years on his own right!

Peroxide and myself asked to be removed. Peroxide had other things to do, and I wanted to fold with and build a farm. If you look at the total team members for Folders Inc, that is it with the inclusion of ReCoil!! Who has done real well with his PS3 for us. We've had the most stable group in the 2 years the team has been folding... 8 members total. I don't think any other team can claim that...

BTW - the 2 year anniversary is coming up on - February 23rd!!! That's next Saturday... We should have a party or something... We're also getting close to 2,500 posts in this thread!

Take care, :-)

`Looks like some other folders are either getting better cores and/or folding 24/7 too. The best to `Ya.

Well guys, we're four days away from the two year mark.

On another note, we've been getting crazy weather these past few days. Sunday was frigidly cold, yesterday it was 55 and raining sideways, and today it's back down in the 30s.

8th place guys! Keep it up!

Hmm... I might be getting some new stuff for the rig. Apparently my mom's workplace is doing a massive upgrade, and so employees have the option to take their old one for $50. I don't know much about the rig, except it's got three quarters of a gig of RAM, so hopefully there's a 512 stick there to bump my current amount up to a full gig.

Hey, where's everybody? It's been only me who's posting it seems these past few days.

The girl last week, she told me she's not ready, she was like "only time will tell...", ...so we're back at square 1st I guess...I thought we had something. And I've been depressed.

But I got myself new electric gears to play with. Epiphone Les Paul Speciall II, and a Fender Frontman 15W amp for $220. This one is the cheapest Les Paul-look guitar I could find and it was basically the last one there. I was able to hook this up to my computer, my soundcard the X-fi Xtrememusic and play the sound over my surround speakers. Sound and tone sound amazing, I'm amazed how many sounds an electric guitar can replicate, this is my first ever electric guitar. But as a cheap guitar, it has some intonation problem, a little sharp on the 12th fret, I can't get all the string intonated. And the turning pegs are loose and it would give out the tuning after a couple hours, and some other thing. None the less I'm loving it a lot. The action is lower than on my acoustics so that's nice, and strings are very light and easy to fret. Sustain is ok I guess cuz it's not hollow? I especially like the Les Paul look of it.

Not a shabby looking guitar there, Shaj. I have a friend whose favorite guitar is a heavily modified Epiphone Les Paul. I'm holding off on picking up an electric, as my acoustic is good enough for now, and I've got access to several different electrics (my dad has two, my friend has five or six). Plus, that would bring my total string instrument count to four, which is a bit overkill I think for right now. If anything, I'd add a good fretted four string bass.
