Plus, that would bring my total string instrument count to four, which is a bit overkill I think for right now. If anything, I'd add a good fretted four string bass.
I never knew electric guitar could be so moddable. It's close to what we can do to a computer you know, like upgrade pickups, strings, key pegs ... can be up to a degree that it's not even the original guitar anymore. I have 2 acoustics and this electric and I think it is overkill since I'm not even that good. But I like collecting good stuff I guess. I don't know about a bass cuz I never played it but it may be cool. Today bass players get more attention than even lead guitar.

And 500,000 I have reached.

Nice.

But yeah, my friend has stuck hi-output Dimarzio pickups in his guitar, along with new tuners and straplocks. I haven't modified any of my current instruments, because both my basses were sooo inexpensive (my 5 string was just a shade over $200 and my fretless 4 costs $120 new), that it seems a little odd to put in upgrades that cost more than the instrument.

I know lol, I was looking at some 57' classic Gibsons' pickups and it's like $130 a piece (you need 2) so it's like double what my guitar cost. If anything I'll just pick up a real Gibson LP once I've gotten good and have spare $$$ of course.

And you play the orchestra bass not guitar bass?

Nah, I play electric. I've tried upright, but it tears my fingers up. Plus, my parents have already had enough of a time paying for one expensive instrument . My good clarinet cost about $1800 brand new, and I've invested god knows how much on reeds, mouthpieces, accessories, and now a new barrel for it.

Ugh, I have to go back to school tomorrow...

But this vacation could have been a lot better. Not having as much homework would've been cool. Also, if my friends had been around a bit more (most of them were in the same boat as me - too much work to do). Plus, I completely fell down on one thing, which was that my church youth group was going to go do laser tag today, but you had to reserve a spot earlier on, which I completely forgot to do. But, I wouldn't have been able to do it anyway, as I had a bit of work left to finish (didn't take me as long as I thought), my dad's at work today, my mom has to do some stuff for a costume she's working on for the musical at the local high school, and my clarinet teacher is coming at 4 to help me pick out a new barrel for my instrument.

And of course I've got SATs next Saturday and it's probably gonna be a bad snow storm tonight, which might mean snow day, which means no after school stuff, which means our model rocketry team is gonna be even further behind than we are.

I guess life just sucks at the moment.

Hey LBN,

I hope you're surviving the snow storm... About the SAT's. Are they more important in your neck of the woods, than ACT's?? Here in Michigan ACT's are the prime college tests to take. Maybe it depends on which school/college you plan to attend...

Anyway stay warm, :-)

I feel you LBN, sometimes stuff just have to get bad in some way, but it'll get better, the question is how much better will it get.

In the west we favor the SAT more while the east you guys take the ACT. Despite that regularity, I will have to take the ACT again to be qualified for a scholarship, here, in the west...
